Having Trouble Depositing Your Check?
We have to be able to see the check clearly to accept it for mobile deposit. Sometimes we may ask you to re-take an image before we allow you to deposit the check. Here are some helpful tips to remember:
Your chip card has both the new EMV chip technology as well as the traditional magnetic stripe. If the terminal or ATM you're using is chip-enabled, simply insert your card into the reader face-up. Leave your card in the machine until you're prompted to remove it. Depending on the terminal, you may be prompted to enter your pin number or sign for the transaction before you remove your card.
If the terminal or ATM you're using is not chip-enabled, simply swipe your card to use the magnetic stripe.
Your chip-enabled debit card will work at any location that accepts Visa Debit Cards.
While more merchant terminals and ATMs are becoming chip-enabled, the process will take some time. Even if a merchant terminal or ATM does not accept chip-enabled cards, you can still complete your transaction using the magnetic stripe on the back of your card.
Before you travel internationally, it is always a good idea to notify us. For your security, Guilford Savings Bank uses a system that helps us determine debit card fraud, which may block international transactions. Before any international trip, contact our Access Banking Center and let us know of your plans.
Chip-enabled debit cards have a distinctive metallic square on the front of the card. The chip is gold in color, and will appear on the left side of the card under the Guilford Savings Bank logo.
If you believe your debit card has been lost or stolen, please call our Access Banking Center immediately at (800) 730-6603.
