CONNECTICUT PRIVACY PROTECTION POLICY

In the normal course of our business, we may request or receive social security numbers from customers, employees, job applicants and others. At Guilford Savings Bank, we are concerned about privacy and appreciate the fact that social security numbers deserve special protections. As a result, we have implemented policies and procedures which are designed to: (1) protect the confidentiality of social security numbers, (2) prohibit unlawful disclosure of social security numbers, and (3) limit access to social security numbers.

You can also take steps to minimize the risk of identity theft.
Do not give out personal financial information over the phone, especially your Social Security Number, unless you initiated the call or can identify the caller.
Report lost or stolen checks and credit cards immediately.
Review new deliveries of checks and credit cards upon receipt.
Never disclose your personal identification number (PIN).
Make sure you properly dispose of financial information, including solicitations that arrive in the mail, by shredding or tearing them up.
Study your bills carefully and question any suspicious charges.
